Toeniskoetter Construction has completed a new headquarters and manufacturing facility for Applied Motion Products, a precision manufacturer of motion-control products, which recently relocated from Watsonville. The move to Morgan Hill’s Madrone Business Park enables AMP to expand its operations and consolidate its manufacturing efforts under one roof.

The new facility, a concrete shell tilt-up with a panelized roof system, encompasses 21,000 square feet. The completed interior build-out created lab, office, and engineering space as well as a large warehouse area.

The entire construction project took place during the COVID-19 pandemic and its ensuing restrictions and challenges. “Once we got the green light to start, we were ready to go,” says Brett Johnson, Toeniskoetter’s Senior Vice President and project manager overseeing the endeavor. “We had virtual meetings, and a site superintendent was on site every day making sure we were making progress, all while adhering to COVID protocols.”

A good working relationship with the architectural team, Eaton Hall Architects, and the client laid the foundation for success, according to Johnson. “Toeniskoetter always works to foster a collaborative, communicative environment, and the results speak for themselves.”

Although AMP has just moved into its new place, the company is already eyeing the next stage of its partnership with Toeniskoetter, with plans to expand its current footprint to 47,000 square feet in the coming years as the company grows.
