The Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose dedicated its new outdoor exhibit space, Bill's Backyard, on October 19.  Bill's Backyard is the new outdoor learning environment with a focus on environmental and science education.  Bestselling author and chairman emeritus of Children & Nature Network Richard Louv, whose books have helped launch a movement to connect children, their families, and communities to nature, provided the keynote address. San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo spoke about the museum's leading role in making San Jose a nature-rich city for all children. Museum Board Chair and Toeniskoetter Construction President & CEO Dan Amend served as the emcee for the event.  The exhibit is named after retired Agilent Technologies CEO and Museum Board Member Bill Sullivan.
