Toeniskoetter Construction completed the remodel of the Orchard Supply Hardware store in San Rafael, marking the fourth Orchard Supply store to be renovated by the company. The project, located at 1151 Andersen Drive, was successfully completed within budget and on time for Orchard’s grand opening.

Toeniskoetter completely renovated both the interior and exterior of the San Rafael store, including the construction of its new nursery, while Orchard’s doors stayed open for business. The Toeniskoetter team made it a priority to accommodate customers and establish a customer-friendly environment throughout the different phases of construction.

“Toeniskoetter’s planning was so precise that I knew I didn’t have to worry about a thing,” said Bill Selk, Orchard San Rafael Store Manager. “Everyone at Toeniskoetter kept me informed, there was strong communication and involvement, and they were overall a very enjoyable group to work with.”

The design included building a new nursery, expanding the square footage of the sales floor, constructing a new front entry truss, and upgrading their existing office spaces and restrooms. These changes were implemented to enrich customer experience and to provide a more efficient retail shopping environment.

“The greatest highlight to reflect on was completing the project within the time frame allotted,” said Adam Toeniskoetter, Project Manager at Toeniskoetter Construction. “Everyone was working together for a common goal, the grand opening. It was a team-oriented project.”

Anthony Cataldo, from the architect and design firm Ware Malcomb, designed the project. Toeniskoetter Construction has completed three other store remodels for Orchard Supply Hardware, including two in San Jose and one in Petaluma.
